Recipe for Anzac Biscuits

Recipe for Anzac Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 50 grams of flour                                             50 grams of butter
  • 75 grams of sugar                              1 tablespoon Golden Syrup
  • 2/3 cup of coconut                       1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate soda
  • 2/3 cup of rolled oats                          2 tablespoon boiling water

Method

  1. Mix the flour, sugar, coconut and rolled oats together.
  2. Melt the butter and golden syrup.
  3. Dissolve the bicarbonate soda in the boiling water and add to the butter and golden syrup.
  4. Make a well in the centre of the flour mixture and stir in the liquid.
Place spoonfuls on a cold greased tray, flatten with a fork and bake for 15-20 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.   


We  need to raise $72.50 so we can do the mini marathon on Wednesday 16th April. Each biscuit costs 50 cents. How many biscuits do we need to make?

A3 is not allowed to answer. Pikopiko team will be able to buy biscuits Tuesday morning with the A3 young leaders. Pohutukawa team can buy biscuits the next day with the A3 young leaders and Totara team can buy biscuits the day after that with (once again) the A3 young leaders.
