Holiday Fun

In the holidays my sister and I went on a plane to Wellington to see my Dad and brother for two weeks. We went to watch the Wellington Hurricanes VS the Reds. My sister, my brother, my Dad, my Grandparents and I got on TV!!. My Mums work friends rang my Mum and asked "Are your children in Wellington and are they at the Hurricanes game???" my Mum replied "Yes, Why???" Emma explained "They are on TV!,I saw them waving a hurricanes flag!!". Then my Mum texted my Dad and told him about the news!. As the two weeks went past so fast we drove back home to Rotorua. There were still three more days left of my holiday. On Friday we stayed home and relaxed. On Saturday my Mum and Step-Dad ran the long marathon. They finished it in 7 hours. The long distance of the marathon was around 40 kilometres !!.They came back home tired and exhausted. They got blisters and bruises and were very sore, but they were very proud of what they did. I even got to hold their medal!. When I'm 18 I will be able to run the Marathon!. Overall I had a pretty fun holiday!. Thank you for reading! By Te Paea Waetford-Heketa
